Reebok I-Run Treadmill Review

Reebok I-Run Treadmill Review
Written by Juliet Walmsley

As a beginner runner, I was looking for a mid-range treadmill that I could use a few times a week at home with a few settings/programs – nothing crazy, and that could be easily tucked away when not in use. This was an excellent choice for me! I’m really happy with it all around, the look, price, practicality AND performance!

Highlights:

—> Folding Treadmill

So useful and vital for people with not that much space! I love that I can just fold this thing up when I’m done and slide it under my bed. It does take up pretty much all the space under my bed, but it totally fits! Also when you fold it up it can be rolled – which is great cause I’m small and this thing is heavy for just myself to move.

—> 7 Programs

I really didn’t need anything too fancy, but I was happy to have some selection with the pre-set and target programs. I’ve actually used them way more than I thought I would. It’s nice to have a goal on the screen that you’re working towards. I’m sure this is old new to experienced runners, but as a somewhat newbie – I was shockingly happy with these.

—> Safety

This machine comes with a safety cord which was really important to me. I’ve fallen off a treadmill before and it was terrifying (not to mention embarrassing…), and I wanted to make sure that won’t happen again! Maybe that’s why I decided to purchase a treadmill for home? So I won’t embarrass myself at the gym anymore? Anyways, moving on.

PROS:

  • Super easy set-up
  • Solidly built
  • Folds away and can be rolled, stored under bed or in room
  • Comes with safety cord
  • 7 programs: quickstart, 3 target programs and 3 pre-set programs
  • LCD display screen (speed, time, distance, calories and pulse functions)

CONS:

  • It’s a bit heavy for me to move around on my own, but happy it rolls!
  • Its top speed might not be fast enough for pro runners, though it’s fine for me!
  • You might want to place a mat underneath, so it doesn’t mark your floor or indent your carpet.

This machine was an awesome choice for me! I live in a small condo and I’m so happy I went with it. It’s perfect for people with limited space, and I wanted a good balance of performance and practicality. I’m not a super pro/hardcore runner by any means, but this treadmill is perfect for what I wanted. I run regularly, probably 5 times a week as part of my workout. So with this machine, and the exercises I do at home – I canceled my gym membership (which was my goal) and now am going to be saving so much money! I’m so happy. This is exactly what I wanted and it’s so worth the money in the long run. (Pun intended… Ha!) I highly recommend this treadmill!
